Honor — Terms of Service

Welcome to Honor. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Honor Technologies LLC ("Honor," "we," "us") governing your use of the Honor mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Honor. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older and able to enter into these Terms.

2. What Honor is

Honor is a tool for organizing golf trips and games among friends. It helps you plan itineraries, track scores and handicaps, and keep a record of friendly wagers ("bets") and shared expenses among the people in your group. Honor is a record-keeping and scorekeeping tool only.

3. No money handling; bets and expenses are between users

Honor does not collect, hold, escrow, transfer, or process any money. All bets, wagers, and shared expenses tracked in the app are informal arrangements made directly between users. Any amounts shown in the app — including who owes whom — are records and calculations for your convenience only; settling up happens directly between users outside of Honor, using whatever method you choose. Honor is not a bank, money transmitter, payment processor, escrow agent, gambling operator, or a party to any wager or expense. You are solely responsible for the lawfulness of any wager you make and for actually settling any amounts among yourselves. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including any laws governing wagering in your jurisdiction.

4. Scores, handicaps, and calculations

Scores, handicaps, course data, and any calculated results (including net scores, bet outcomes, and expense splits) are provided for casual, recreational use and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not official and should not be relied upon for any competitive, financial, or official handicapping purpose. Honor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the USGA, GHIN, or any golf governing body, and handicap figures entered or displayed in the app are not official Handicap Index® values unless expressly identified as sourced from an official provider.

5. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your account secure, and for all activity under your account. When you invite or add other people (including by entering their contact information), you represent that you have their permission to do so. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; harass, abuse, or harm others; enter false or misleading information; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data; scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Service; reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service; or use the Service to facilitate illegal gambling. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. User content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as photos, scores, and trip details). You grant Honor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use that content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and for having the rights to submit it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for features such as maps, weather, course information, messaging, and authentication. Those services are provided by their respective owners, and Honor is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or practices. Your use of those features may be subject to the third parties' own terms.

9. Messaging

If you send an invitation by text through the Service, our SMS Terms at https://honor.golf/sms apply. Standard message and data rates may apply, and recipients can reply STOP to opt out.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or secure.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Honor and Honor Technologies LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — including any dispute over bets, expenses, scores, or amounts owed between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Honor and Honor Technologies LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your wagers or expense arrangements with other users, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The current version is always posted at https://honor.golf/terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
